Safety
Blue River Environmental Services, LLC (BRE) has developed a health and safety program that enforces and enhances a strong safety culture within the company. The foundation of the BRE safety program is the daily safety huddle. Each work day before a project begins, the site superintendent conducts a safety orientation. All BRE employees and subcontractors are required to attend. The day’s specific safety hazards and solutions are discussed.
In addition to the corporate health and safety manual, a site-specific health and safety plan is written. An activity hazard analysis is used to address each identified hazard. A copy is reviewed and kept with the site superintendent along with the MSDS (SDS) book, first aid kit, and fire extinguisher while on the project site.
All Blue River Environmental Services, LLC employees are trained in 40 Hour HAZWOPER operations. Foreman and supervisors receive additional annual training in excavation and trenching, CPR, confined space entry, respiratory protection and hazard communications. Project specific training is provided as needed.
Blue River Environmental Services, LLC is proud that we have never had a recordable accident in our company’s history. Our EMR rating is significantly lower than average industry standards for NAICS 562910.
